JOY Wreaths!

This is the last craft I have to post today.

I would do a few things differently since I just kind of winged it. All in all I like them :)
Here is the link from whence this idea came:

Painted Ornaments!

I was going to use this idea for the Christmas pictures as well but decided not to. I went ahead and did it for the tree.

I found some plain ornaments and paint markers at Hobby Lobby and started coloring away!!

I did 12 of them all different, this project was too easy :)

Chalkboard Art!

I was wondering what to do as far as props for our family Christmas picture and I kept seeing a chalkboard while looking for picture ideas. It was perfect! Hobby Lobby had a good sized board for only 7.99 and 30% off!! I don't have the Christmas pictures back yet but here is the chalkboard now which I am using for decoration around the house.

Here it is for Christmas!

It is so much fun decorating it, I guess it's the artist in me :)

Yummy Meal!

Honey Garlic Pork Chops

This dish was really, really good! Normally I am not a pork chop fan but with honey and garlic, it made it flavorful :)
Here is the recipe:

I'm back with more crafts!! Yay!

I am finally back into the swing of things and I have many plans for crafts!!!

This is what I did for above Von's crib...

I started out with some wood letters I bought at AC Moore.

then some coordinating scrapbook paper and Modge Podge.

I used a crafting knife to cut the scrapbook paper inthe shape of the letters and then modge podged them onto the woodenletters. I added decorations with a hot glue gun.

This was a cute and simple project I did to add some personalization to Von's room!!!

New Blog, Old Blog

Everything I have previously post I moved from my old blog, I changed my email account with gmail and I couldn't add my new email to my old blog. Sooooo I made another one!! Also everything that was prviously posted was prebaby and everything after this post is post baby.

Button Monograms!

I am finally finished with my monogram project!!! I might add a few extra button touches on the canvases without a monogram to tie it all together.

Any project I do from now on will take a while to finish, school has taken up most of my time now.

Buttons Buttons!!!

I have finished one letter out of three, I had to order more buttons.
Here is what I have so far!

:P

Pillows!!!

Here are the pillows I've been working on!

All I did was cut out the fabric into two same size pieces and place one on top of the other with the pattern on the inside. Then I measured and drew guidelines for sewing.

Now start sewing on the dotted line!

Leave a gap on one side so you can reverse the fabric and put in the stuffing.

Once I stuffed it to my liking I hand sewed the gap and voila!!
These pillows were too easy :P

:)

Wreath out of Book paper

My Version

The wreath is finally finished!! It has taken forever especially since I went on hiatus during school. But now it's done and hung!

I started with some old books and used three pages for each rosette.

I used a hot glue gun to glue them onto a foamed wreath I found at Jo-Ann's.

Tada!!!!

I am very happy with the way this has turned out. Here is my inspiation from Under the Table Dreaming.....

Why Hello There!

I'll probably finish my long time project, the flower wreath, today. Finally! and before school starts!
My next craft project will be a crochet rug made out of old sheets and fabiric. I'm excited about this because it's been awhile since I have crocheted anything.

Here is a picture of Matt and I at the Braves game this past weekend :)

I got the idea from Pinterest Baseball Cupcakes, the original is done with M&M's, very fabulous!!!

Fabric Wall Art

I wanted something crafty and affordable to add to my bedroom wall. I used coordinating fabric that I stapled  to canvases of different sizes with a staple gun. I might need to change a couple of the colors but I added the stencil to make it look less plain, it seems to work. Now all I need is some new bedding to match!! Look out Pottery Barn here I come :)
